When I was five years old, I made my first attempt at telling the untold story - “George Washington & the Fish.” And let me tell you, it was quite the page turner; my teacher told me so.

Since then, I've spent countless hours spilling words onto the page as my way of finding my place in this big, beautiful, crazy world.
But after years of telling other people's stories, I'm also ready to tell my own story, share what life through my lens looks like in my essays on life: through flower & weed.

In the meantime, take a look at some of my published work in My Writing categories of Food & Community, Travel & Adventure, Love & Life Stories and Healthy Living.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you like what you see.

Love & Light~

I have a story to tell.

Maybe it was the word "blog;" it just sounds dated and dreadful. That's why I'm simply categorizing it as "essays on life" - precise and more provocative. And the name - through flowers & weed - is from a poem by Keats, which describes my view perfectly of navigating the wilds of life. My favorite part:
"And now at once, adventuresome, I send my herald thought into a wilderness:
there, let its trumpet blow, and quickly dress my uncertain path with green,
that I may speed onward, through flowers and weed."

So this is me, finding persective and finally putting words to my life experiences (drumroll, please and thank you) and throwing them out into the world to alight wherever they’re most needed.

I just ask one thing from you: while I’m all for free speech and intellectual discourse, this is only about good vibes, so (and I say this with all the love and respect) if you don’t like what you read, please kindly move on. I feel no need to defend what I say and aim to only - hopefully - provide a perspective that can spread like wildflowers, not wildfire.

Now. With that out of the way - Cheers! - to a FULL LIFE of finding beauty, through the flowers and the weed.
For a very long time, as a writer, the voice in my head has said, “If you want to be a successful writer, you need to start a blog. That's what writers do. That’s it; you’re starting a blog today” (cue the crickets. everytime).
